Merchant Validated Parking

And don’t forget – dozens and dozens of merchants in State College borough offer parking validations good for up to three hours of parking at any of the downtown parking garages with qualified purchase. Here’s how it works:

  1. Park in either the Beaver Ave., Fraser St. or Pugh St. parking garage, taking a ticket at the entry gate.
  2. As you make purchases downtown, ask for a parking validation.  (Limit 1 per parking transaction.)
  3. When you’re ready to leave, go to the pay station at the parking garage and scan your entry ticket.  After the machine tells you how much is owed, scan your validation into the machine.
  4. Pay any remaining balance.
  5. Proceed to the exit gate and scan your paid ticket to raise the gate.

It’s easy!  Just look for the Merchant Validated Parking (MVP) logo at participating businesses.
