Drip Studios, owned by Jenny Eisenhauer and her husband of 14 years, Todd Eisenhauer, has now expanded so the couple has enough room to continue giving impeccable treatment, provide more services, and forward their mission of changing the atmosphere of the tattoo world one safe space at a time!

In the two years Drip Studio has been open it has quickly risen to a 5- star reviewed, top award-winning studio in State College. The artist behind the successful business, Jenny Eisenhauer, shines in black-and-gray realism and anime, though she described herself as a jack of all trades. “I’m happy to do all styles! If the tattoo is important to you, it’s important to me,” Eisenhauer emphasized. As a perfect compliment to her customer service and tattooing duties, her husband, Todd, runs the piercing and operational side of Drip Studios. Eisenhauer says her strengths are his weaknesses and vice versa, making them the perfect team. The couple offers reworks, touch-ups, flash, and customizable tattoos at their shop. If that’s not enticing enough, they also are the only studio in the area offering free, yes free, numbing and aftercare, the cherry on top of an already great portfolio of services.

Eisenhower has been the sole tattoo artist in Drip Studios throughout the years. However, recently, due to their business’s success and an influx of customers since its opening, Jenny appointed two apprentices under her to uphold the standard of care and attention the shop is known for. For any return customers wondering what is different since the expansion, the answer is piercings! Eisenhauer decided to add local piercer Jerry Davidson to their intimate team. With 17 years of experience, she thought he would be a perfect fit. Eisenhauer doted over the new addition, saying he has an excellent bedside manner, attention to cleanliness, and detail.

When discussing her vision for her shop and the tattoo world in general, Eisenhauer noted that she is the only woman and ethnic tattoo shop owner in State College. “Much of the tattoo world still has a biker feel,” said Eisenhauer. This is why her shop leans towards a more elevated atmosphere instead of the gritty, hypermasculine feel that has historically defined the tattoo industry. Drip Studios’ primary mission is to create a safe space for anyone who walks into their tattoo shop or has ever been nervous about entering one.

This expansion is exciting for Eisenhauer, employees, and patrons alike. Downtown State College Improvement District’s Executive Director, Lee Anne Jeffries, commented on how much this expansion says about our town: “We are thrilled to see Drip expanding in Downtown State College. It’s a testament to the vitality and resilience of our community, showcasing how innovation and entrepreneurship drive our downtown’s growth and economy”.

If you’re in the market for anything tattoo or piercing-related and want to experience the warm and welcoming atmosphere Eisenhauer and her husband have fostered at drip studios, you can find them at 248 E Calder Way. To see their work firsthand, visit their Instagram page or their website.
