Downtown State College is pleased to welcome The Makery. This arts and crafts studio, tucked in Calder Way behind the Fraser Centre Site, is making a big splash with a variety of creative classes, parties, and special events for kids and adults of all ages.
Classes are offered in a variety of mediums, including knitting and crocheting, fabric arts, jewelry making, painting, and more. Anyone can come and experience the joy of creation in a fun, light-hearted environment. The studio’s website is centered around featured creative workshop events and unique classes like Coasters and Cocktails, Photography or Painting Drawing and Glass Fusion.
In addition to hosting a variety of their own parties and events, you can also rent The Makery’s aesthetic environment for your own private soirée; perfect for things like rehearsal dinners, showers, or corporate events. There are numerous engaging celebrations and classes for kids as well, designed to inspire and entertain. The Makery Party, for example, is the opportunity for parents can book space and art activities for groups of children on Saturday and Sunday, which include 2 hours of activity time, 1-craft per child, a mini-photoshoot and more!
