Something about State College attracts travelers filled with wanderlust. Luckily, we have our very own resident wanderlust keeping record of the incredible places they visit, a talented local showcasing his artwork in the heart of downtown State College.

Art Heim is bringing HeimWorks to the Downtown Improvement District office this January and February. With a focus on outdoor photography, Art Heim finds a way to highlight the absolute beauty of human nature through a camera lens. Whether it be vibrant animal or epic landscape, you can intimately feel the greatness of our natural world within Art’s talented camerawork.

As an outdoor enthusiast, Art Heim has traveled to countries far and wide to capture the delicate wonders of Earth, with his most recent photography featuring the picturesque wilds of Patagonia. Art explains, “My primary artistic interest lies in the graphic interpretation of the beauty and uniqueness of the natural environment through landscape, wildlife, and cultural imagery, and a deep desire to share the work for the enjoyment of others.”

Lovers of all things art and nature can view Art Heim’s sublime display at 127 S. Fraser St. from Monday through Friday between 9 A.M. and 5 P.M. We all yearn for the beauty of nature in our winter months, so grab a friend and visit us in the Downtown Improvement District office. See how Art Heim earned his namesake, support a local photographer, and scratch that winter itch for warmer weather.
