Experience the cool vibe of downtown State College during our monthly First Friday events. A casual atmosphere features art, people-watching, mingling with friends, shopping, and dining at the diverse and delectable State College restaurants. First Friday goers will experience after-hours access to galleries and shops, free bites and beverages, live music, retail and restaurant specials, and more. MLK Plaza
5 – 7pm

Stop by the MLK Plaza to visit with Santa between 5 and 7pm, and enjoy FREE hot chocolate and popcorn, courtesy of the Lion’s Club!


Holiday Ballerinas in Downtown Windows

Keep an eye out for live ballerinas in the windows of these downtown businesses during First Friday:

Open Music at 3 Dots
5 – 8pm

3 Dots Downtown will feature a Bucket List Workshop led by Ethan Liebross throughout the night, as well as the music of Open Music, which will take many shapes and sizes over the course of a three-hour experimental music marathon. Original work, improvisations, solos, duos, Pauline Oliveros…drums, guitars, dulcimers, cellos, harmoniums, machines, saxophones, banjos, bells…

Gingerbread Earrings at The Makery
5 – 8pm

First Friday - Gingerbread Earrings 12/3, 5-8pm

In this fun make-and-take event, you will use acrylic paint pens and glue-on details to decorate your own pre-baked clay ‘gingerbread’ style shapes and turn them into earrings or key – rings!

Cost is $10 – click here to register.

Extra pairs may be purchased during the allotted time for an additional $10.

Affordable Art Sale at the Woskob Family Gallery

First Friday at the Blue Brick Theatre
7pm

The 7pm show during First Friday at the Blue Brick Theatre will feature 3 long-form improv sets with an intermission in between each. Expect the unknown!

He Said/They Said: Dawn and James create memorable characters inspired by a rumor shared by an audience member. These characters then come together in unexpected and hilarious ways!
Pardon My French: This house team gives a snapshot of the places in our lives and the many characters that pass through them. Who knows what will be revealed!
 See You Next Time: State College’s first all female- or non-binary-identifying improv group. Come join these wildflowers as they explore human connections and the power of shared interests. What kind of interest? A book club? Stamp collecting? Rabbit rearing? You decide!

Lions Pride will be hosting L. Moyer Designs for a pop-up shop during First Friday! They will also have FREE gift wrapping and live ballerinas.

First Friday at Master Goblin Games

Starting at 5pm

Come down to Master Goblin Games for their First Friday open game night. Come and play some of their games, or feel free to bring your own! Starts at 5pm.

Ride a FREE Trolley through Light Up Downtown
5 – 8pm

Trolley stops at Fraser St, Locust Ln, and Calder Way. Jump on at any stop, the trolley will be taking continuous loops.
