1pm Just Jim with Jim Colbert

3pm Erica Quinn

Tempest Studios, 140 Kelly Alley (behind the Fraser Street Garage in Downtown State College.)

Award-winning singer songwriter Jim Colbert returns with his Just Jim series of solo acoustic performances of original material. This special fall edition will focus on songs rooted in Pennsylvania – the history, culture, stories and people of our region.

Erica’s multimedia poetry and visual storytelling event is an immersive exploration of mortality, of the unknown, and of histories unwritten. Dormant memories are evoked and generational cycles are conjured, blurring the boundaries between the tangible and the ephemeral.

Erica Quinn is a poet and visual artist whose expanded practice focuses on the meaning of place and space, integrating analog photography utilizing expired film, moving image, and language. Excavating the complexities of memory and loss, this work articulates an occupation of the liminal. Erica Quinn graduated from Juniata College in 2010 with a B.A. in Photography & Literature and earned her M.F.A. in Photography from the Pratt Institute in 2013. Quinn is the Executive Director of 3 Dots, an adjunct instructor at Penn State University, and is a collaborator with the Open Music ensemble and a member of feminist sound-art project Not Your Ordinary None.
