The Nittany Valley Writers Network will offer its second “Local Resources for Writers” Night on Tuesday, October 8 at 6:30 p.m. in Schlow Library’s Community Room, 211 S. Allen Street, State College.

Librarian Maria Kenney Burchill, the Head of Adult Services for Schlow Centre Region Library, will discuss the programs and resources the library has for local authors, and how to get your book in the library collection. She will also share her observations about the current state of publishing. Burchill, a State College native, has worked at Schlow since she was a teenager, and has more than 30 years of library experience.

The event is free and open to the public. The Nittany Valley Writers Network is a sharing, supportive, inspiring community linking local writers of all genres and levels of experience. For more information, contact Dave at [email protected].
