Sounds From The Attic: Traveling Seeds with guest Dave Mudgett

Kris Kehr is a singer-songwriter & multi-instrumentalist who’s been working and writing professionally for close to 30 years now, with a string of original albums to his credit through those years. He fronted the State College-based alt-country band Kris Kehr & Stone Poets which included pedal-steel guitarist Dave Mudgett and drummer Matt Cullen, and that band dissolved around 2010. He continued to perform with drummer Matt Cullen after a move back to his hometown area in Berks County, and soon began working on a new batch of songs that would become ‘Traveling Seeds‘ (the album). With the addition of upright bassist (and Penn State alum) Rick Delong, the band Traveling Seeds was born, a thinking man’s acoustic folk-rock trio that incorporates Kehr’s songwriting with a dusty, jam band-y acoustical approach to performance.

On October 24th, the trio is joined by former Stone Poets compatriot Dave Mudgett on the steel for a special show of new album cuts, old Poets songs and a few well-chosen covers from the world of Roots and Americana music.
