Wyndham Hotel Group has awarded the Days Inn Penn State the 2015/2016 Hotel of the Year designation, the highest honor within the worldwide Days Inn brand of hotels. To be eligible for the prestigious award, a Wyndham Hotels and Resorts property must have demonstrated outstanding execution in 2015/2016 in each of the following categories: Superior accommodations, excellent evaluation scores, exceptional guest satisfaction and positive operating performance.
Along with the Hotel of the Year award, Days Inn Penn State also received the Best of the Best Award and is a 2015 Chairman’s Award Winner recipient. Senior Vice President for the Days Inn brand, Patrick Breen, had this to say about those who achieved this honor; “These hotels represent the very best of what our brand has to offer and are true ambassadors of the Days Inn name.”
In addition, The Days Inn Penn State General Manager, Edward Tubbs, was awarded the General Manager of the Year award for outstanding property management. “Edward’s commitment to the success of the Days Inn Penn State truly represents excellence in leadership,” said Mark Morath, President of Hospitality Asset Management Company. “His ability to approach problems creatively, effectively lead his staff and create lasting impressions on those around him makes him a great asset to the hotel and our company.”
The Days Inn Penn State and Tubbs were presented their 2015/2016 Hotel of the Year award and General Manager of the Year awards by Breen and Geoff Ballotti, Wyndham CEO at the Wyndham Hotel Group 2016 Global Worldwide Conference held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
