Leslie Shelleman is a water color artist, who has painted in one form or another for all her life. Her beautiful work is currently featured in the Downtown State College Improvement District’s office, located at 127 South Fraser Street.
Having discovered water coloring 22 years ago, Leslie stated that it was her favorite medium due to the freshness and spontaneity that it exudes. Although Leslie is self-taught, she took multiple art workshops from some of the most respected and talented artists known both locally and internationally, which have helped her become the artist she is today. Most of her inspiration comes from the wondrous natural world that surrounds her, in addition to architecturally interesting old buildings.
Leslie said “I take every opportunity when on vacation to capture the natural beauty of our seashores, quaint New England villages, or majestic state and national parks.”
Please feel free to stop by and check out Leslie’s art work!
