Downtown State College welcomed Big Dean’s Hot Chicken, located on 208 West College Avenue, on March 8, 2021.
Starting with a 5,000 mile road trip to pursue the best Nashville Hot style chicken, 3 months later, Big Dean’s Hot Chicken was founded. It puts a sharp focus on perfecting the balance of hot, sweet, creamy & crunchy that you’ll get in each bite. And it pays off.
Big Dean’s stated, “What we are doing here is recreating the bold, yet soulful flavors of the deep south, with its authentic ingredients, rich history and unique perspective – but through the lens of a chef who has traveled all throughout the country.” The State College location’s owner, Rob Wasserman, prides himself in offering only the finest freshest ingredients available.
