Sweet treats taste better in summer, and Dulce Luca Cafe is officially here to prove that. They’ve recently opened their doors at 216 E. Calder Way to welcome all the sweet tooths to their incredible baked goods, bringing some of the yummiest homemade desserts to downtown State College.
As a family business, Dulce Luca Cafe is proud of its creation as a comfortable space for the entire community. While decorating cookies alongside his wife and main baker Eman Ahmed, owner Hitham Hiyajneh described what makes his new sweet spot so excellent, praising the “more relaxing mood” Dulce Luca Cafe provides.
“We can relate to you,” Hiyajneh passionately states, explaining that he bakes his cuisine with “more flavor,” authenticity, and a lot of family support. “Everything we make here is handmade. You can’t get it in a grocery store,” Hiyajneh affirms, honored by his Middle Eastern heritage and hoping to create a sure place for State College’s growing Hispanic community.
The cookies speak for themselves (and so do the lattes), so bring every sweet tooth you know downtown to support this family business Monday through Sunday. They’re open from 9 A.M. to 9 P.M. every day of the week, the perfect cherry on top after the warm Summer days. Follow Dulce Luca Cafe on Facebook and Instagram to keep up with their bakers, and continue supporting the whole family by visiting Yallah Taco right next door.
