For 50 years, Uncle Eli’s Artist Marketplace and Frame Shop has been supplying artists in State College. For 39 years, Douglas Albert Gallery has been sharing the love of art with our State College community.

Douglas Albert started Uncle Eli’s while he was still a student, and he prides himself on having something for every type of artist.

“We understand student needs and budgets and try to accommodate the needs of all of the artists in the community.”

Albert’s key to success is his stubbornness. He has faith in the State College community to help support his business.

“I’m fair and honest with my customers, and I don’t deal in smoke and mirrors. People respect my honesty and candidness. People appreciate the selection that we have.”

Douglas Albert Gallery is full of world class art, much of which can’t be found in metropolitan areas.

“We’re a real treasure chest of handmade American crafts and fine art.”

Local business is important to Albert, knowing that the money stays in the local economy and that the level of customer service is unmatched.

“The State College community is full of bright, intelligent, diverse, creative people. We have Arts Fest here 365 days a year.”
