The Allen Street Grill, located directly above the Corner Room at the intersection of College Avenue and Allen Street, promotes a casual gourmet dining experience, superb food, outstanding service and one of the best Town and Gown views in State College. Priced reasonably and offering upscale cuisine is always a challenge but Bert and Becky Burger, the husband and wife French Trained Executive Chef and General Manager, seem to pull it off with ease. From the moment you walk in the door and approach your seat overlooking the bustling sidewalk you become an integral part of this historic corner.
When you peruse the menu, you’ll be enticed by many of their popular Appetizers including Maryland Crab Bisque, Crab and Mango Spring Rolls, Ahi Tuna Sashimi, Lamb Lollies and a Hog’s Galore Antipasto Platter. Signature Salads like Blackened Chicken Pasta, Jack’s Roadhouse Steak and Bert’s Beet Salad. Sandwiches which include the ASG French Dip, Cuban Panini, Grilled Turkey with Applewood Smoked Bacon and Grilled Sirloin Burger. Entrees such as Cedar-Planked Salmon, Ahi Tuna, Fettuccine Alfredo, Chicken Piccata, Certified Angus Beef Center-Cut Steaks and a variety of Vegetarian Dishes. All Desserts are made fresh in-house by their two pastry chefs. The Grill also offers complete Lunch Service and a variety of Daily Specials to please the most discriminating palate. Full Bar Service is available along with an affordable award winning wine list. Private Meeting Space is also available in the Beaver and State Rooms by reservation only.
