There’s no business like small business, especially in downtown State College, where mom-and-pop shops line every street corner. That’s why we have a new opportunity for all small business owners that we’re delighted to share.
The Downtown State College Improvement District (DSCID) introduces the Small Business Grant Program, providing funding ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 to downtown constituents who are committed to enhancing the aesthetic appeal and functionality of their establishments through facade and interior renovations.
Applications for the DSCID grant program, aimed at supporting small businesses in our district in executing vital capital improvement projects, will open on March 1, 2024. Successful applicants will be required to match the grant amount, ensuring a collaborative effort in pursuit of transformative improvements.
For more information, check out these guidelines and get your applications in before March 22nd, 2024. We look forward to seeing the local impact this new opportunity will provide.
Note: Elligibility restricted to businesses and properties within our downtown district (see map below).
