The return of First Friday rang in the start of the spring season, despite the chilly temps. With special events and offerings at a variety of local businesses, the weather did not deter the community from coming out to join the fun! Some highlights included:

Music by Caledonia at The State Theatre

“Make & Take” plant crafts at The Makery

Discounted merchandise at Kitchen Kaboodle and Appalachian Outdoors

Live music at Webster Bookstore & Cafe, 3 Dots

Open Game Night at Master Goblin Games

Improv show at Blue Brick Theatre

Art exhibits on display accompanied by light refreshments at the DID Office, Woskob Family Gallery and Kish Bank

The April 1st event marked the first of the return of the monthly series through December.

DID Executive Director, Lee Anne Jeffries said “It was wonderful to see the community come out and support the return of our monthly events! The May 6th First Friday will conclude with Luca – a free family movie in Sidney Friedman Park, sponsored by The Borough of State College. See you then!”

Thank you to the many participating businesses and all who joined us! We look forward to future First Fridays in the coming months. For more information and a complete list of live local music for our upcoming First Friday events, visit our Facebook, Instagram or website
