Let’s Light Up Downtown for the holidays!
Light Up Downtown will include several locations enhanced with lights and decorations. We encourage you to come downtown and enjoy a festive walking (or trolley) tour.
While you’re here, grab some takeout and knock out some holiday shopping! We thank you for supporting local this holiday season!
Light Up Downtown will be on display from November 18 through January 2, 2022!
“Be the Light” at MLK Plaza,

-Santa will arrive on the Alpha Fire Truck and will be available for photos with from 5-7pm
-Free hot cocoa and popcorn
-Free balloon animals
-Monster D drawings
-A performance by the Central PA Dance Workshop at 7pm to kick off the timed lighting show on the plaza
-At 7:15pm a few lucky children will be randomly selected to ride the trolley with Santa and light up the rest of town.
-Bring a new toy for Toys for Tots or a non-perishable item for the Food Bank to enter for the chance to Light Up Downtown with Santa!

“Gingerbread WalkWay”:
-Calder Way Lights will run in coordination with the holiday lightshow on MLK Plaza beginning at 7pm and will run every night from dusk until 10pm through the holidays.

“Garland Gateway”:
The traditional evergreen will be standing tall at the Allen Street Gates and will be lit by Santa’s trolley around 7:20pm for the holidays!
“Enchanted Forest”:
-10 local non-profits will participate in the Enchanted Forest tree decorating challenge…the winner will receive $1,000!
-Stop down to the corner of College and Locust, support our local non-profits and vote on your favorite decorated tree!
-Scan the QR code on your favorite tree and vote by December 5!

“Candy Cane Lane”:
New this year…the pigs in Centennial Walkway will be aglow with festive lights for the season!
Free Trolley Rides will loop through Light Up from 5pm-8pm on the following days:

Trolley stops at Fraser St, Locust Ln, and Calder Way. Jump on at any stop, the trolley will be taking continuous loops.
