If you’re looking to get more into yoga and enrich your wellbeing, Bhatki Yoga Center is the place for you. With a large variety of yoga classes, wellness workshops and group meditation, the yoga center will help promote your physical wellness and consciousness transformation.

Owner of Bhatki Yoga Center, Yasodeva Das, views their yoga center as more of a community center. By hosting community dinners and cooking workshops on top of their yoga and workout classes, these events help to bring the community together.

Every Thursday, the center hosts a Kirtan and vegetarian dinner. Kirtan is a type of yoga meditation that is set in a group and it  works with sound vibrations that you focus on while chanting. It sets a certain way of thinking, so they use it as a positive manner to think in a spiritual way. When done in a group setting it can be very powerful and helps you forget about everything else. Following the Kirtan a vegetarian meal is provided.

They want to help give people a place to work on mental health through exercise and culture. “We like to feel that we are giving people a place to not just get relief through exercise, but a community. People need community and those who are attracted to that traditional culture of yoga they feel a lot of that here. We want to provide that space for people and also practically provide meals.” said Das.

The Bhatki Yoga Center wants to promote their classes and center to all locals in State College and encourage you to come and try out a class. You can find a full list of their class schedules as well as their special events on their website. They are located at 322 East College Ave, State College PA, 16801.
