We are excited to welcome The Squirrel & Acorn Bookshop to the Downtown district, located on 103 S. Allen Street.
The Squirrel & Acorn Bookshop is “an independent bookshop where stories are discovered and created, voices heard and celebrated, and where imagination and a bit of whimsy are constant companions during your visit.”
Owner, Andrew Aschwanden, has a passion for books and reading and felt the State College community would enjoy the experience of a small carefully curated bookstore. In September 2022, The Squirrel & Acorn Bookshop opened at the perfect location on the most coveted street in Downtown State College!
The bookshop aims to provide unique stories and great books, carrying various types of new books and writing tools. Furthermore, several reading corners inside encourage cozying up to a good book! Children’s books are also on hand and displayed in a quaint reading corner specifically designed for them.
The Squirrel & Acorn Bookshop has received a positive response from the community and Aschwanden invites you to stop by and browse the selection.
