Artist Bios:
Emily C. Decker is a writer and artist living in Rothrock State Forest. Her friend and mentor, Harriet M. Rosenberg inspired in her a deep love of paper cutting and folk art. Emily enjoys foraging, farming and hiking the hills with her little dog Mancha.
A native of Glasgow, Scotland, Mairi Sim came to State College in late 2007 with her husband and son. In 2016, she did a 365 Sketch A Day online challenge with other artists mainly from across the pond, and she was hooked after a 3 decade-long hiatus. With a newfound confidence and passion, she started playing around with paints and got serious with that in 2020 during the lockdown. Acrylic flow painting is what she most enjoys, although she also paints birds and flowers in acrylic and watercolor.
