Welcome back to Downtown’s First Fridays!

Experience the cool vibe of downtown State College during our monthly First Friday events. A casual atmosphere features art, people-watching, mingling with friends, shopping, and dining at the diverse a

nd delectable State College restaurants. First Friday goers will experience after-hours access to galleries and shops, free bites and beverages, live music and entertainment, retail and restaurant specials, and more. And there’s free parking in the Pugh, Fraser and Beaver garages with validations from participating merchants.

What’s happening during July First Friday?
 To restart our First Friday events, Caledonia will be playing on the stage at the MLK Plaza from 5:30pm-8pm!
First Friday at The Makery
Join The Makery as you celebrate summer around downtown State College on our First Friday in July! Lynn Anne Verbeck will be hosting a pottery make and take workshop from 6pm to 8pm. You’ll get the chance to make a magnetic mini-vase out of self hardening clay! You will create the vase at The Makery and take it home to decorate and glue on the magnet once dry!

First Friday at McLanahan’s Downtown Market

McLanahan’s Downtown Market will be offering free Pizza (while supplies last), half price happy hour, and merchandise giveaways during July’s First Friday!

First Friday at Crust & Crumb
Visit Crust & Crumb during July First Friday, where they will be hosting Jennifer Black. Jennifer is a jewelry designer, and her work will be on display during the event.
First Friday at 3 Dots Downtown
3 Dots Downtown will feature a community engagement activity for a forthcoming mural by local artist Ann Tarantino. Join them to help shape this exciting piece of place-based public art in downtown State College! They’ll also host live music, in addition to their current exhibit, Faux Venus by Yiwei Leo Wang. And, as always- food, drink, and surprises. The crew from Placemaking US, who are making a stop in State College on their cross-country Recovery Road Trip, will also join them!
